NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 10 — President William Ruto has named Muhamed Abdi Mohamed the Chairperson of the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company (KETRACO) replacing Abdi Bare Duale.

The three-year appointment that took effect on Monday was gazetted by the Government Printer on Friday.

Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has handed the former KETRACO boss a lifeline after naming him Board Chairperson of the Kenya Railways Corporation for three years effective February 9.

In other appointments, Tourism Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua named Yusuf Adan a member of the Wildlife Research and Training Institute Board while his Education counterpart Ezekiel Machogu assigned Hawo Shanko as a Member of the Council of the North Eastern National Polytechnic.
