The Cabinet Office introduced performance contracting in 2013 as a way to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of government ministries.
Performance contracting assesses a set of targets assigned to various ministries against their scorecard.
Commenting on the report, Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria said the report was a product of a Government Performance and Delivery Roadshow compiled by the steering committee he chaired.
Kuria disclosed that the assessment looked into how different Ministries have performed over the year, areas of interventions, and the alignment with President Ruto’s Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
